Client Profile Forms – improved
On March 9, 2015, the Client Profile Form for fixed and income annuities changed. The new format replaces earlier versions in an effort to better obtain and organize necessary client information. Previous versions will be accepted through May 8, 2015. After that date, the new format will be required for all new business submissions. View the bulletin.
- Genworth Financial:
- Index product changes
On March 9, 2015, changes were made in many states to the SecureLiving Index 5, Index 7, Index 10 Plus along with the Income Protection rider. View the bulletin. The major highlights are:
- Benefit Base Enhancement reduced from 8% to 4% (simple rollup remains 8%). This includes all states .
- Index 10 Plus premium enhancement
- New product disclosure required – effective March 9th
Due to the changes to Genworth’s indexed products, there is a new product disclosure that needs to be submitted on any Genworth Index 5, 7, & 10 applications.
- North American Company:
- Interest rate decrease
On March 10, 2015, interest rates decreased on most North American annuities, excluding the new NAC BenefitSolutions fixed index annuity. Click here for the new rates.
- New interest rates apply to applications received in the Home Office on or after March 10, 2015.
- NAC IncomeChoice 10 Commission Special has ended
- Original applications must have been received before March 10, 2015

Indexed Annuity II – modifications
Two modifications have been made to the Protective Indexed Annuity II. To help you offer a competitive fixed annuity solution to your customers, a limited market value adjustment (MVA) is being added to the product and the calculation for annual penalty-free withdrawals is being modified. - Moody’s rating increase
On March 3, 2015, Moody’s raised its ratings on Voya Financial, Inc., to “Baa2” with a stable outlook, from “Baa3” with a positive outlook, and raised its insurance financial strength ratings on Voya’s insurance subsidiaries to “A2” from “A3.” As Moody’s stated in its press release, the decision was based on the continued improvement of their financial profile, particularly their profitability and financial flexibility. This comes just two weeks after Standard & Poor’s (S&P) Feb. 17 decision to raise credit ratings on Voya Financial and on Voya’s insurance subsidiaries.
