    • Clients Overestimate the Price of Life Insurance
      Term Life Insurance is quickly becoming a favored product among financial planners. It’s simple and customizable, and not nearly as costly as some clients would assume. According to LIMRA’s 2014 Insurance Barometer Study, one-third of surveyed individuals between ages 18 – 34 said they needed more life insurance. Of that percentage, 63% guessed insurance was simply too expensive. Many in the study were asked to estimate the annual cost of a $250,000 level-term life insurance policy for a healthy 30-year-old. An average guess was $1,000 per year. The actual cost is $150. When talking to your clients about life insurance, be sure to find out their specific needs and make sure they aren’t overestimating the cost.       • Amount payable is 2% for 5 years (years 2-6)
      • Term riders on whole life for the same duration and face amount as above are also included at 1% for 5 years (years 2-6)
