In response to thirteen counties being declared storm disaster areas, the Department of Insurance issued this bulletin requesting that insurers implement certain consumer safeguards including a 60 day moratorium on cancellations and non-renewals and other exceptions to policy or contract requirements or rating or underwriting rules.
