  • Long Term Care Agreement
    Over 70 percent of people over age 65 will need some form of long-term care. Clients concerned about long-term care costs will appreciate the Long-Term Care Agreement (LTCA)as a fresh alternative for covering long-term care. With the LTCA, available on select policies from Minnesota Life, clients can receive long-term care benefits, a death benefit or both.
  • Updated 4506-T form
    The 4506-T Request for Transcript of Tax Return form has been updated. This form is primarily used in cases that utilize premium financing. The existing form will be accepted until May 8, 2015. After that, all cases submitted will require the use of the new form.
  • New York Regulation 60 changes – COMING SOON
    New York has amended its requirements for Reg 60, which governs the replacement of life insurance policies. The amended requirements actually streamline the replacement process, increasing efficiency for all. Securian Life will adopt the new regulation procedures on June 1, 2015. Stay tuned for more information.

    Genworth will now automatically notify producers by e-mail when they release a commission payment for a LTC policy. View the bulletin.

  • Custom Care III featuring Benefit Builder in Compact States no longer available
    Custom Care III featuring Benefit Builder has been replaced by Performance LTC in the compact states (click here for a complete list). All Custom Care III featuring Benefit Builder applications for current rates must have been signed by April 27, 2015 and received in the Home Office by May 4, 2015. For LTC Captivate business, all Custom Care III featuring Benefit Builder applications in compact states must have be signed and submitted to John Hancock by April 27, 2015.
  • LTC Partnership no longer available in NY
    All individual Long Term Care applications for New York Partnership policies must have been signed by April 27, 2015 and received in the Home Office by May 4, 2015. Any New York Partnership applications received after May 4, 2015 will not be processed. Get more details.
  • DRA Partnership certifications for Performance LTC
    John Hancock’s Performance LTC is designed and certified to meet the requirements for DRA Partnership-qualified policies in states that implement National Partnership programs. The policies are tax-qualified and meet or exceed all currently applicable National Association of Insurance Commissions (NAIC) consumer protection standards. The following states, where John Hancock has an active DRA Partnership, have been approved and are certified for the Performance LTC product: Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Georgia, Iowa, Louisiana, Maine, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.

  • Product training requirement for MA
    As of April 27, 2015, all producers selling Long Term Care insurance or life insurance with a Long Term Care Rider in Massachusetts must certify that they have been trained and understand the product they are selling. Therefore, John Hancock now requires that producers sign and submit the new MA Certification Form – INS-1972 – certifying that they have read and understand the product guide that corresponds to the product they are selling.
