LONG TERM CARE

  • Happy 1st Birthday to Performance LTC Policies
John Hancock is celebrating a big milestone. Performance LTC’s first policies are now a year old. And that means policyholders will be receiving their first Annual Statements – and their first Flex Credits. As we approach this anniversary, you may wonder how Performance LTC performed relative to our initial expectations. In the first year, both the Insurance Credit and the Interest Credit have been in line with our original assumptions. This means that Performance LTC policies are performing as expected. Policyholders can see their Flex Credits, as well as the most recent Declared Rate, in their annual statements. Their statements will also include an updated in-force illustration reflecting John Hancock’s current experience and our best estimates for future performance.
  • An easy way to multiply your Performance LTC sales
The latest New Ways to Sell Long-Term Care Insurance flyer in this series focuses on how targeting associations is a great way to help you sell with greater efficiency and success. It demonstrates the advantages of the John Hancock Sponsored Group Program for Affinity Groups and how you can increase the volume of your sales.

  • It’s hard to sell without a story
That’s why Mutual of Omaha has created educational tools and consumer materials to help you tell compelling stories your clients can relate to. Watch this short video to learn more.
  • The cost of waiting
It’s important to let your clients know that premium is based on their age when they purchase a policy. That means the younger they are, the less expensive it will be. Procrastinating also could lead to their inability to qualify for coverage should their health change. Without a long-term care insurance policy, your clients could face paying the entire cost of services out of their own pockets. That’s the real cost of waiting.

  • Help show clients the costs of various long-term care services – Download the updated Cost-of-Care book.
  • Texas Compliance Notice
The Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) requires insurance companies to send a notice of updated TDI contact information to policy owners issued in Texas. Therefore, Mutual of Omaha will be mailing the updated notices to all long-term care policyholders in Texas beginning May 6, 2016.
