      With the release of TransNavigator IUL, Transamerica is withdrawing the Freedom Index Universal Life II and Freedom Global IUL II products. Applications for either product must be signed and received in good order — all fields completed and necessary forms submitted with signatures of all necessary parties — in the Home Office by August 8, 2014. If TransNavigator is not yet available in your state, you can continue to sell the Freedom Index Universal Life II and Freedom Global IUL II. We will announce additional TransNavigator state approvals as they become available.
    • Cap increases on new and in-force Freedom IUL policies
      The Cap rates on the Freedom Index Universal Life II and Freedom Global IUL II products have been increased 1% on each product. The new Caps apply to in-force policy segments renewing on or after July 15, 2014 and to all new policies issued on or after. Caps are subject to change. Use this great news as a way to reach out to existing clients and learn more about their current insurance needs and financial goals.

    • 2013 and 2010 in-force rate action notifications to take place in late August
      The 2013 in-force rate action includes John Hancock LTCI individual policies originally issued in Arizona, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, and Wyoming. The 2010 rate action applies to John Hancock and Fortis LTCI individual policies in Pennsylvania, where we will continue the implementation of the rate increase for policyholders who have received their initial “capped” increase. It also includes John Hancock policies in Colorado and West Virginia. Rate increases will have an effective date beginning with anniversaries on or after November 1, 2014. Please note: The phone number to call with any rate action questions or inquiries has changed to 888-654-6582.
