  • American National Annuities:
    • Applications must be received in good order in the home office by 4:30 PM CT on December 19th in order to guarantee processing for year-end.
    • Normal month-end rate lock procedures will apply.  Applications must be signed and dated no later than December 31st and received in the home office by January 6, 2015.
    • Applications received after 4:30 PM CT on December 19th cannot be guaranteed to be processed by year-end.
  • John Hancock:
    • All requirements, including full modal premium, must be received in John Hancock’s New Business department by December 19th to ensure completion of underwriting , issue and case payment by December 31st.
  • Legal & General America:
  • Symetra:
    • Final issue requirements for Life new business to be placed and counted in 2014 should be received by December 19th, if commissions are paid weekly, and December 26th, if commissions are paid daily.  If you are working toward contest and production bonus goals, we encourage you to submit applications through Symetra Express as soon as possible. Express will determine if premium can be collected from applications that qualify for temporary coverage or instant approval. Allow enough lead time on fully underwritten business for the applicant to complete the medical history interview and para-med exam. These take three weeks to complete, on average.

    • New process for bank draft authorization Based on producer feedback, a new notification step has been established to help set your client’s expectations when a bank draft deduction will occur.  A reminder is being added to the new business set up to ensure the producer authorizes bank draft cases. This allows you an opportunity to notify your client of approval – so the client is aware when the first premium will be deducted from their account.  You simply need to notify your case manager when the time is appropriate to deduct. There is no paperwork required.  Please reach out to your case manager or speak to a New Business representative at 800-377-7311 with any questions. Please note: the bank draft authorization may be provided to your case manager at any point during the new business process.
    • Updated applications & product materials for CT, IN & NYeffective January 1st Updated applications and product marketing materials will be available on January 1, 2015, reflecting the 2015 minimum benefit levels for Connecticut, Indiana and New York Partnerships.  Please note: John Hancock discontinued sales of its California Partnership Long-Term Care insurance product effective September 16, 2013.
